Heavyweights Matt Mitrione and Phil De Fries will be squaring off at UFC 155.  The two men will be fighting on the same card that hosts the rematch between Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez.

Matt Mitrione was scheduled to fight Rob Broughton on the UFC on FX 5 card, but when Broughton had to withdraw for personal reasons, the fight was cancelled.  Mitrione will now meet Phil De Fries in an attempt to get back in the win column.  Mitrione has gone 5-1 since his stint in the house, and had won five in a row before he lost to Cheick Kongo back in October 2011.

Phil De Fries has fought three times now in the UFC, having gone 2-1.  He will look to turn his fight with Mitrione into a two fight win streak, as he is coming off a second round victory over Oli Thompson.  DeFries had his nine fight unbeaten streak snapped when he was knocked out by Stipe Miocic back in February.

UFC 155 is scheduled to take place on December 29, 2012, and by fight night, Mitrione will have been out of action for over a year.
